Our Story
Long before we ever thought about making a shoe, we were the guys who noticed them.
The pair that caught our eye from across the room. The sneakers we didn’t need but bought anyway. The pair we kept spotless, and the ones we wore into the ground.
Shoes have always been personal to us - sometimes even nostalgic.
Over the years, we bought a lot of them. Some for the design, the materials, or the comfort. Others simply because we loved the way they made us feel.
But the more shoes we owned, the more we realized we were still reaching for something we couldn’t quite find.
A sneaker with its own identity. Refined, but not formal. Comfortable, but not overly athletic. Different enough to get noticed without needing to scream for attention.
Most importantly, we wanted a shoe we could wear our way and confidently walk into any room.
So, we stopped looking and started creating it.
That’s where KŌŌTH began.
Built in Portugal Designed in Nashville
It took longer than we thought - six years, to be exact. Along the way, we scrapped prototypes, worked through four different factories, and obsessed over every detail until we finally got it right.
Eventually, that journey led us to Portugal, where the shoe you see today is handmade with beautiful Italian materials and intentional details.
Somewhere along the way, we realized KŌŌTH wasn’t just about creating a dope sneaker. It was about the culture and community we wanted to build around it.
Walk your rhythm
KŌŌTH is the phonetic spelling of couth which is defined as being refined, well-mannered, and considerate. Simple qualities we believe still matter.
Move with intention. Treat people well. And have the confidence to be yourself.
That’s what KŌŌTH is about.
Different people. Different stories. Different rhythms.
We’ll make the shoes.
You Walk your rhythm.
